Bespoke Two Storey Residence designed for local Perth building company M_Projects Design + Construct. Originally a 905m² block in Mullaloo, owners subdivided the parcel of land down the middle leaving this lot with 440m² total area. Not a perfect rectangular block the site had it’s challenges with reduced setbacks to the rear. A major site characteristic included ocean glimpses to the rear of the block, where this view could be attained by positioning the first floor sitting room and balcony areas carefully in the design. The design brief asked for a holiday resort feel and to maintain as much natural light in the abode. This was successfully achieved with the inclusion of a large open void to the ground floor living & dining areas. This accompanied by large fixed windows, allowed sufficient natural light penetration while maintaining views to the ocean.
